Episode 2 was...

...actually pretty good.

-LeBlanc is a bloody good driver to finish fastest by a good margin on both tarmac and gravel, especially considering how evenly matched the F-pace and his Macan are.

-Chris Evans wasn’t as annoying, especially during the 675LT review. He was still shouty, but not obnoxiously so, and no more shouty than Clarkson was.

-The Rallycross gimmick hasn’t worn off yet.

-Everyone seemed to really enjoy their role in the films.

-The Mercedes GLC300d isn’t really well suited to off-roading, especially if not in off road mode. In fact, the Jag was the only one that didn’t break anything on the trip.

-Matt opened up more on camera, and seemed to be a really good fit for the show.

-Cinematography was spot-on.

-Eddie Jordan is a cool guy, and provided great instructions on the “rally stage.” I want to see more of him.

-Harris and Rory are going to be on the full show next week (as well as Ken Block). I’m excited.

I give this one an 8/10. If they improved this much in one episode, I can’t wait to see what happens for the rest of the show.

IMO the 675LT review was not that great, it almost felt wrong with Evans.

I felt that is was just different. It’s on par with a lot of the top-notch stuff that comes out of Youtube, and that’s a pretty good compliment.

I think Chris Evans needs to turn the volume knob down a tad.....he kinda comes across as a loud American and Matt is the reserved one.

There’s a noticeable difference between his volume in the first episode and his volume in the second episode. Let’s hope that trend continues.

So I was bored and watch the first episode of Top Gear 2.0 yesterday, and Holy cow was that an actual car show with car reviews. Today I watched the first episode of Top Gear 3.0 and couldn't believe how much it's changed. This episode sounds like it has more actual car thoughts so I'm looking forward to it. I also thought Matt was quite good in the car, with comments that actually added to the show, rather than Evans number spewing.

Matt is the fastest star to ever lap the TG test track, so I’d say his driving prowess has already been confirmed

I still wasn’t expecting him to be that much faster than Eddie, even with the engine advantage.
